According to property & casualty insurance provider(re), Burnet’s appointment goes into effect on March 7. This Zurich Insurance Group alumnus most recently served as CFO at PartnerRe.

As for the former chief financial officer, Shea also had warm words for McGuire.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Mike since I joined Sompo in 2021, and I have watched closely his dedication and passion to lead by our core values and place our employees, clients and trading partners at the center of everything we do. do,” he notes. “Mike has been an integral part of the growth of our organization and has played a key role in getting us to where we are today.

Sompo International, which employs 10,000 people and is headquartered in Bermuda, a British overseas territory, did not elaborate on McGuire’s decision to step down as CFO.
